The PIB (Produto Interno Bruto)Internal Gross Revenue of Bahia is one of these important factors to be analysed. In the years 2003/2004, the State growth index was 12,8%, twice bigger than the national average. Moreover, in this same period of time, the State of Bahia reached the 6th position in the country economy, presenting 5% of NationalGross Revenue and the biggest economy of the Northeast, beeing responsible for 40% of the Internal Income of the whole region

Furthermore, the excellent geographic position of Bahia must be considered, which presents 1.200km of athlantic cost, important ports with international linkings and great attendance of ships, which can be favourable for exportations and purchaising of necessary products for the interepreneur.

Bahia shows a political stability and good state treasury policies, which were reached since the 90ties, becoming remarkable among other States and competitive on attraction of investments. Furthermore it offers a great number of qualified workers, great tax incentives and a wonderful pontencial for agriculture and industry.
